The following project works to exposes the dissonance between the promises of domestic bliss and the reality of economic stagnation. It brings into critique ideals of aspirational femininity, the male gaze and class-based disillusionment amidst domestic labour, gravel gardens and bin-lined cul-de-sacs, crafting a deadpan satire of domestic femininity. Promises of upward mobility are questioned amidst a cost-of-living crisis, exposing the emotional and aesthetic labour of surviving suburbia.
